Grant’s Tech Space!!!

Welcome to Grant’s Tech Space!

Hi everyone!

Starting today, I will write articles about topics that I find interesting in life. This includes educational information about audio gear, programming, operating systems, video editing, music trivia, computer hardware, and much more. However, I would like to tell my “origin story” before diving into any of these topics.

I was born back in the early 2000’s. The internet just became mainstream. VHS, DVD, and cable were the dominant method of watching television. Eminem, Justin Timberlake, and The Killers ruled the airwaves. Cell phones became the dominant form of instant communication. However, I didn’t know any of that at the time.

My earliest memory consists of looking at a light bulb on the ceiling of an apartment in South Carolina. Strangely specific, I know, but we all begin somewhere. From 2007 to 2016, I lived my early childhood in the greater Houston area. As a homeschool student, I spent most of my time learning history, math, science, and grammar. In particular, my parents emphasized the importance of reading to learn about the world around me. At the time, I had little appreciation for literature and mostly wanted to build with LEGO and play games on my Nintendo DS with my brother. By God’s grace, my parents wanted more for me and persistently encouraged me to spend countless hours learning about the world around me. They would not settle for anything less. However, it was not until 2019 when I began to take learning seriously. My mother encouraged me to join a dual enrollment program for a local community college. At the time, I did not believe myself to be capable of doing anything meaningful. However, I passed the entrance exam and quickly enrolled into my first college course. Since then, I have found joy gaining in in-depth knowledge about mathematics, history, philosophy, and software engineering. The Lord has blessed me with countless opportunities to advance personally and professionally. Last year, I applied to work in sales at a car wash and have become proficient in both customer service and sales. More recently, I have joined my local Church’s IT team and help set up digital audio workstations to help share the Gospel. Today, I create this site for one main reason, to encourage everyone to learn practical technology skills, and find joy in life.

Let’s do this!
